CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project)
In 2021, Quadient was awarded a B score (considered as a Management level), acknowledged for its efforts made in risk management linked to climate change and a reduction in its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). By achieving a “B” rating, Quadient ranks higher than the average in its industry.
The CDP is an independent non-governmental organization offering a global system for measuring and publishing environmental information and which assesses companies’ strategy, involvement, and results to combat climate change, sustainable water management and forestry protection.
The Gaïa Research Ranking
Quadient was awarded second place in the Gaïa Research 2021 ranking, in the category of companies with more than €500 million in revenues, moving up three places compared to the previous year.
Gaïa Research is the sustainability rating agency of EthiFinance and specializes in ESG analysis and rating of French and European companies. Since 2009, it has been establishing rankings by revenue category to recognize the best companies in a panel of 230 small and medium-sized enterprises listed on Euronext Paris. The ratings are used by leading management companies in their management process and investment choices.
In 2021, with an overall rating of 53/100, Quadient ranked 3rd (out of 56 European companies) within the "Mechanical Components & Equipment" sector.
Quadient has been taking part of Vigeo Eiris ratings process since 2005. Vigeo Eiris is an international agency of extra-financial rating that evaluates the level of integration in organizations of social, environmental and governance factors in particular in their strategy, operations and management functions.
Ethibel EXCELLENCE Label
Quadient has been reconfirmed in the Ethibel EXCELLENCE Investment Register,and has had the privilege to be included as well in the Ethibel PIONEER Investment Register in 2020.
Ethibel labels are a quality mark for investment funds which exclusively invest in shares or bonds included in the Investment Register and having gotten a good grade. Individual companies are assigned a rating by Forum ETHIBEL following an in-depth screening consisting on 6 study domains which cover all aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR): human rights, human capital, the environment, social impact, market ethics and good governance.
Being part of Ethibel EXCELLENCE requires companies to receive an A (considered as exceptionally strong or innovative), B (best of class) or C (above average in the industry) rating and for companies belonging to the prestigious A or B categories, they can have the chance to be included in the Ethibel PIONEER Investment Register.
EcoVadis Gold Certification
In 2020, Quadient was awarded a “Gold medal” by EcoVadis in recognition of its commitment and performance in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility. Quadient is placed among the top 1% of companies in its industry category. This marks the third consecutive year EcoVadis has recognized Quadient with the Gold certification.
The EcoVadis rating agency certifies companies’ commitment to sustainable business development, specializing in assessing suppliers for global supply chains.
ISS ESG "Prime" Status
In 2020, Quadient has once again granted a "C+" score and the “Prime” status by ISS ESG in recognition of its activities related to various environmental, social and corporate governance indicators. ISS ESG is the responsible investment arm of Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS).
This status is given to companies with an ESG performance above the sector-specific prime threshold. Quadient’s 2020 results reflect its commitment and continuous efforts to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The evaluation shows that Quadient notably progressed in the areas of corporate governance, business ethics and reduction of the Company’s impact on the environment.
In 2021, Quadient's commitment to corporate social responsibility has been recognized for the 5th year in a row by MSCI as “leader” with an AA rating. An MSCI ESG Rating is designed to measure a company’s resilience to long-term, industry material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks. MSCI ESG Ratings range from leader (AAA, AA), average (A, BBB, BB) to laggard (B, CCC).
In 2021, Sustainalytics assessed Quadient's ESG (environmental, social and governance) risks level and found it to be “low” with a rating of 16.7%. Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Ratings span more than 12,000 companies and covers most major global indices.
This ratings framework is supported by 20 material ESG issues, with detailed information on 138 sub-industries and offers clear insights into company-level ESG risk by measuring the size of an organization’s unmanaged ESG risk. Risk Ratings are categorized across five risk levels: negligible, low, medium, high, and severe and are underpinned by more than 350 indicators (depending on the sub-industry) and 1,300 datapoints.
