Our company makes continuous efforts to offer ever more innovative and environmental-friendly solutions. The steady growth of the e-commerce market and its impact on cardboard and packaging material consumption has brought us to conceive and create innovative solutions to address e-commerce players.

Our Automated Packaging Systems CVP Impack and Everest replace oversized packaging and filling material with automatic fit-to-size packaging for every internet order shipped. It contributes to saving up to 20% of cardboard and can reduce the volume of packaging by up to 50%. In contrast, our Parcel Locker Solutions contribute to reducing last-mile carbon emissions and decreasing traffic in busy urban areas.

All the sites of our supply chain are ISO 14001 certified (including our Tier 1 suppliers). This approach means that each site has deployed an environmental management system to identify their most significant environmental impacts. Actions are taken accordingly to eliminate, reduce or limit their effects on the environment. Our main efforts cover water and electricity consumption management as well as the reduction and the collection of waste. 

Among the other sites of our company, those having the most important headcounts are also certified. Nonetheless, environmental objectives are set for all Quadient sites.

The preservation of the environment is also about reducing the impact that our products and solutions may have. Our eco-design approach aims at enhancing energy efficiency and the recyclability of our products. 

Quadient is also a committed player in the circular economy through its remanufacturing approach. It is an industrial process during which a used product is collected to be renewed and updated in terms of its functionalities. It offers the same level of quality and reliability as a new product while reducing its carbon footprint by 37%.

Every year Quadient measures its carbon footprint according to the GHG protocol methodology, with the results being published in our Registration Document. These results take into account all the emissions linked to the energy consumption on our sites (scope 1 and 2), business trips of our employees, and downstream and upstream goods that are transported (scope 3). Emissions linked to the energy consumption of our products when used by our customers are also taken into account.
