The BDM  (Business Development Manager) will work in close collaboration with the regional sales and marketing teams to build pipeline for the sales team in assigned regions and/or product lines. The BDM will lead a small team of Business Development representatives with focused campaigns, managing lead goals and developing new talent.

Quadient seeks a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a dynamic and growing team.  The BDM will work in close collaboration with the regional sales and marketing teams to build pipeline for the sales team in assigned regions and/or product lines.  The BDM will use existing and new resources to help the sales team exceed revenue goals both through individual contributions and reporting business development representatives.

 

The BDM should have a telesales background, predominantly in B2B enterprise software.  The BDM should have fun on the phone, have management experience and the desire to work in an international environment.  The BDM needs to be extremely motivated to build relationships with customers and opportunities.

 

The Business Development Manager would be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Lead a small team of Business Development representatives with focused campaigns, managing lead goals and developing new talent
  • Support team through training and coaching
  • Generate qualified appointments for North American Sales team
  • Follow up and promote all marketing programs – conferences, web seminars, email campaigns and online marketing campaigns
  • Follow the established Quadient Enterprise sales process and complement this with your own sales skills and experience
  • Effectively and independently deliver the Quadient value proposition, demonstrating a high understanding of Quadient solutions and the target markets
  • Consistently and regularly use salesforce.com to provide timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of activity within the Sales region
  • Be familiar with complementary products used in a typical industry vertical deployment. This enables the BDD to articulate how the Quadient solution will fit and operate within the existing solution
  • Appropriately engage Quadient management and staff in the sales cycle and provide ongoing feedback to other areas of the Quadient organization
  • Represent Quadient in a professional and ethical manner to clients, prospects, partners, and Quadient colleagues
  • Communicate to product management innovation possibilities

To become a Business Development Manager, the following requirements are needed:

  • Strong negotiating and sales skills
  • Experience managing small remote BDR team
  • Phenomenal phone presentation and communication skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience managing small remote BDR team
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Enterprise Software Sales
  • Demonstrable experience of over achieving a sales target consistently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Must be independent and a self-starter
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, sales management or related fields
