It’s common knowledge that the Government Transformation Strategy1 is about providing excellent public services, putting more power in the hands of citizens and building flexible tools that are more responsive to their needs. A digital government, however, does not just deliver excellent public services for citizens. It creates the right environment for civil servants, its users. In this way, government and the wider public sector must change how it works and organises itself by adopting the right workplace technology. Once this is achieved, government departments and organisations will be empowered to deliver seamless customer communications across all channels, strengthening its relationships with citizens and other stakeholders.
