Quadient Awarded "Innovation of the Year" for Drop Box Locker in 2023 Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards
The self-service solution offers a fast, convenient and environmentally responsible way for shoppers to return packages

Quadient (Euronext Paris: QDT), a leader in helping businesses create meaningful customer connections through digital and physical channels, and a major global parcel locker operator, has won the "Innovation of the Year" award in the 2023 Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards for its Drop Box Locker solution. This recognition spotlights Quadient's efforts in facilitating the collection and returns process through innovations that are secure, easy to use and sustainable.
The award underscores Quadient's continued commitment to design solutions such as the Drop Box Locker to streamline and elevate the returns experience for both consumers and retailers, while maximizing operational efficiency for carriers. The self-service solution offers a fast, convenient and environmentally responsible way for shoppers to return packages, helping increase adoption and use of parcel lockers for consolidated package collection and returns.
"We are extremely proud of Quadient’s recognition as Innovation of the Year at the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards,” said Benoit Berson, Chief Solution Officer for Parcel Locker Solutions at Quadient. “It validates our focus and efforts to design and engineer technologies with the highest levels of innovation and service, and to address the evolving needs of consumers and the e-commerce supply chain. Combined with our advanced parcel management, monitoring and tracking platform, the Drop Box marks a significant step forward in optimizing return fulfillment for retailers, carriers and consumers alike.”
The Drop Box Locker may be equipped with a built-in printer allowing customers to print and apply shipping and return labels to their packages before placing them directly into the deposit box at the locker terminal. The solution helps carriers maximize efficiency, and highly contributes to reducing the e-commerce environmental footprint by consolidating deliveries, collections and returns. The feature is available in Parcel Pending by Quadient’s open locker network in the UK, France and North America. Earlier this year, Evri, one of several international carriers that have joined Quadient’s smart locker open network in the UK, became the first carrier to use the Drop Box technology.
The winners of the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards were announced at Parcel+Post Expo 2023 in Amsterdam. For more information about the Drop Box solution, visit www.parcelpending.com/en-us/locker-solutions/drop-box-lockers/.
