I can say with confidence that flat rate shipping tops our list! USPS flat rate boxes and envelopes are boxes with flat shipping postage rates—no matter how heavy the package! If you are shipping small, heavy items, flat rate is the best deal out there.
What Are USPS® Flat Rate Boxes?
Flat Rate Boxes charge one flat rate no matter what you are shipping..."If it fits, it ships!" Using flat rate shipping options can save your business as much as 50% on shipping costs compared to the other major carriers' rates. Flat rate boxes are available for two USPS services: Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express. Priority Mail is a 1, 2, or 3-day service and Priority Mail Express is a guaranteed overnight delivery service.
Where Can I Get Flat Rate Boxes?
Flat rate boxes can be picked up at your local Post Office™ or ordered online—both for $0! If you have the boxes readily available your employees and colleagues are more likely to use them. Convenience is key!

What Services Have Flat Rate Shipping?
It would be great if flat rates were available for all our favorite USPS shipping services but for now, it is available only for Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express.
What Are the Different Envelope and Box Options?
There are eight different flat rate envelope and box options. Be sure to pick the option that best fits your item, you don't want extra space in the box because it can cause your item to break or become damaged and the larger the flat rate box the more expensive it is!
